Sunshine, spinnaker, and seals

              Montague Harbour

Left Pictou with a band of pirates chasing us, so we launched the spinnaker and left them at the fairway bouy. With sun shining upon us we took Pictou Island to port and let out a hook hoping to catch lunch. Afterward, the wind dropped leaving us doing 2.3 knots which just doesn't cut it.  We motored until  we were able to sail up the river to Montague past all the mussel farms. We registered and did a walk about  town, enjoying the old buildings and the murals. A lot of the buildings date back to 1888, when Montaque was a shipping centre for the areas farming exports.
A boat across the way caught on fire and  all the towns fire fighting equipment arrived to extinguish it, quite a spectator sport to say the least.
