Souris to the Madeleines
Bob and I got up at 3:30 am and slipped out of the harbour twenty minutes later in the black of night. We motored to the Cape and raised the sails then Joann awoke and joined us for a 13 hour beam reach with winds 12-20. We took two hour shifts so we could grab a nap along the way. We made Ile D'Entree by 2:30, reduced sail and continued along the channel for 2 more hours to our destination at the marina at Hauvre-Aubert. Wow what a place! The harbour master, Rheal, was there to meet us at the dock and give us the lay of the land. We walked around for a bit and arranged for a car rental for the morning. Bob BBQ'd some halibut he had picked up at the fish market and we retired early. A great sailing day!
